These chickens are the newest family to join Sweethills Hatchery. We chose this breed of chicken primarily because of their gentleness along with their excellent egg yield.  

 

Salmon Faverolles are considered to be very good layers, a well-cared for Faverolles hen may lay approximately four medium-sized, light brown to pinkish eggs per week and can continue to lay throughout winter

Because of their gentleness Faverolles have become a popular breed of chicken to keep as a pet, especially for children, they are also now enjoying increasing popularity with people due to their egg production.
